Responding to the current coronavirus / COVID-19 crisis, we have made various changes which are listed below. We’ve been awarded the “We’re Good To Go” certificate and industry standard mark by Visit England as well as the AA’s COVID-19 Confident recognition, so you can book and stay with confidence.
Terms and Conditions
We have added section 3.3 to our Terms and Conditions to make our response to COVID-19 clear. If public health measures mean you’re unable to travel or we’re unable to host, you’ll be able to postpone or get a full refund.
Risk Assessment
Any stay needs to be as safe as possible for both you and those cleaning the property. Accordingly, we have developed a Risk Assessment to identify potential hazards and consider how best to minimise them. Actions include adjusting the information we send you, changing check-in and check-out times and developing new cleaning protocols.
Cleaning and Changeovers
Taking advice mainly from government and the Professional Association of Self-Caterers, we’ve developed a new cleaning regime. We have redoubled focus on high touch point areas (such as door handles) and are disinfecting after cleaning. With these all-encompassing protocols and having invested in appropriate technology we aim to make your stay as safe as possible.
We’ll be transparent about what we’ve done to prepare for your stay. A completed, dated and signed copy of our new Cleaning Checklist will be left in the property for your arrival. However, just as for any holiday property, we can never guarantee it is fully virus-free. We’re working hard to minimise the risks, but they can’t be eliminated entirely.

To respond to coronavirus, we have developed our Risk Assessment. We’re preparing The Old Quarry to minimise the risk of virus transmission. We hope all these measures combined will give you the confidence you need to make a booking and stay with us. However, we remain willing to discuss any individual concerns if you contact us.
